On Thursday the 1st of September the Laughter Lounge plays host to ‘LOL For Lamda’, a night of comedy featuring Karl Spain, Rory O Hanlon and more still to be announced. Also, as we all know comics love nothing more than a drunk audience shouting at them, there will be a free cocktail between seven and half seven to help get you in the mood, with a late bar and dancing to put the night to bed.
The cause is ‘Sponsor My Dream’ which aims to help raise funds for two ridiculously talented Irish actors cover their tuition fees for one of the best drama schools in the world, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Out of the three thousand people that auditioned, twenty eight were selected, and of these, only two were Irish. So it would be nice to big up our own while watching great stand up in the process (and seeing as they may one day need a date to the Oscars, worth getting in with now, I for one look darling in a bowtie).
